Game Released!

Somewhat finished the game. There are a lot of holes, but in my eyes I think it qualifies as a visual novel that you can play. The project started as a way to learn how to use dialogic in godot, and practice finding and placing assets.  The result was learning you can spend an endless amount of time fixing the script over a span of a month in a game jam. I really wanted to try some more interesting game system ideas(which is partially why I decided to stay with godot and not learn renpy.), but the script really ate all the time I had.

Another reason why this game was made was after seeing the SWAK game jam, a story idea of "How cool would a story of your lover will kill you be for this game jam?" After a while the idea grew on me, and I really had to get it out of my system. I do not consider myself a good storyteller in any means.  I tried my best to plan a great story and follow the schedule, but what I learned was things do not go as planned. A lot of story moments had to be cut. The original plan was a story of roughly 5 days and it is currently 3 days. And the story definitely feels rushed.

I would love to do future updates and polish it out, but for the moment I am way too burnt out. There are a few things I do plan to finish in the immediate future. (A tiny bit more art) A more major patch is going to need to wait. At least long enough so I can get some fresh eyes on the matter. I hope you enjoy playing the game as much as I did making this.
